• Online Pricing

First Forest regards Value for Money as an important part of our caring for you.  It can be frustrating when searching the web for information to have most funeral homes address pricing by saying “ït all depends on what you want”.  First Forest wants to be trusted and we have therefore made the decision to be totally transparent and tell you what costs are entailed when you organise a funeral.  When comparing prices, also remember that some operators neglect to include GST. 

• Full Service Celebration

This is the standard funeral service and celebration that most people are familiar with.  Here, First Forest organises absolutely ­everything and the ceremony is conducted in a place of your choice.  Traditionally, this special or sacred place is a Chapel (either a Church, crematorium chapel or in one of our lovely chapels) or by a graveside.  This is commonly referred to as a single venue service.  Should the family wish to proceed to a second venue (eg from a Church to a crematorium) the industry refers to this as a dual venue service.  As an indication, a full cremation service could be provided for around $3500 (incl GST). 

A burial will incur the price of the plot.  These prices are different depending on the relevant City or Shire Council.  Brisbane prices are different to Ipswich or Caboolture or Gold or Sunshine Coasts.  They hover around the $2,000 mark and we are happy to sit down and give you a precise figure when making funeral arrangements.

• No Service but very respectful

Sometimes families wish to have their loved one cared for without any formal ceremony.  The funeral industry refers to this as a No Service, No Attendance funeral.  First Forest is mindful that even though there may not be relatives in attendance, the same respect and dignity must be shown to the deceased.  We are great believers in Dignity in Life, and Dignity in Death.

Often some people choose to arrange this low cost funeral option for themselves.  This dignified farewell can be offered at $1895 fully inclusive, including the cremation and coffin.
